You've heard of the forty-niners? Well, Sarah, you and I are the ninety-niners.

That was a very weird year... everyone was worried about being "Year 2000 compliant." I lost my left-side hearing, had an operation on my ear on December 21 which didn't help, and in the end I was NOT "Ear 2000 compliant!"

Between my hearing loss and all the other weird symptoms that happened that year (AND my father-in-law getting diagnosed with cancer, AND I can't remember what else...) I thought the Millennium had come early.

Yep, true limbolanders like you and me Sarah, we have earned the privilege of being incorrigibly pessimistic about the possibility of getting diagnosed--or of any doctor even giving a **** about following up.

All those implied promises, by new doctors, new tests, etc.... it all counts for nothing. You are lucky if you find something that helps your symptoms. (I did.)
