I'm sure this new contrast medium will fulfill its promise of detecting early MS the way all these other things have. With about as much certainty as the long-awaited return of all those socks lost in the dryer.

Well, they do have a blood test for NeuroMyelitis Optica, and when I had that test (it was negative!) the Nurse Practitioner had told me it was a new test that helped them distinguish MS from the NMO. I was glad my test came back negative, since they were thinking about diagnosing me with NMO instead of MS because I had spinal lesions and ON and no real obvious brain lesions.
