I have sensorimotor axonal neuropathy as part of my lupus.

Stress makes no difference to my neuropathy. It's always there, no matter what. Obviously when I am tired the parts of me that have suffered motor damage are even floppier than usual, but that is just because they are tired.

I have numb parts on both sides of my face, depending on which nerve is being affected (the numbness follows area innervated by the particular nerve).

Lately my eyelids on one side of my face have gone numb - it is very weird blinking with numb eyelids.

I also have loss of motor function in half my tongue, have extensive sensory and motor damage in my legs, and am now rapidly loosing a lot of nerve function in my left (dominant) hand. Bummer.

My neuropathy never fluctuates it just deteriorates unfortunately.

cheers

raglet.
