Well, it's not a real Tivo, but it's a Media Center computer. It's got the capability to record television on it just like a Tivo.

I have two real Tivo's. They're both DVD recorders too, and they dont manufacture that type of Tivo anymore. The Tivo I have in my room is starting to die. (they're not well known for a long life...the hard drives crash very easily) So, if my Tivo crashes, I'll try recording my tv shows on the computer while I have the Tivo rebuilt by my boyfriend with a new hard drive.

I love having a Tivo...right now I'm watching a show about Theodore Roosevelt, it's something like 4 or 5 episodes long, so I set the Tivo to record all the episodes for me so that I'll be able to watch the others later. (and probably burn the episodes to DVD) I love reading and watching shows about Teddy Roosevelt.
