lol, I scarfed, like, THREE pieces, man !!

my update-thingamajigger-dohickey-dealiebopper:
our friends with the Parrot Rescue and Rehab brought us a FINE pair of TURKEYS yesterday.
they said the white female was too young to mate yet... but the TOM was just full of feather-displays this morning, and whaddaya know?
today they walk the farm together, and promenade in circles around each other.
looks like they're in LOOOOOVE !! and doing a mating/courtship dance right outside my window, it's so unbelievably COOL to watch !!
oh, and at 6 am this morning, we had a visitor who wanted to barter.
she (lemme guess, sixteen years old?) was clutching two HUGE bags of fresh picked bok choy from her mamacita's plantacione, and (it took 20 minutes to negotiate the deal with our limited Espanol) we arranged an equitable trade, 5 newly-hatched pollitos (chickens) plus one young rooster, plus a couple of little bags of dried fruit (papaya and manzana bananas from my dehydrator) AND a big bag of fresh-fallen mangoes.
we just kept adding to her pile until she nodded that it was a fair trade...
so, everybody was HAPPY with the outcome, and we're going to have yummy fried greens with our huevos for breakfast, lol !!
CiaraMarie tossed a bunch to the geese, and they LOVED the fresh bok choy.
and my bunnies and guinea pigs get all the outside leaves, so they'll be happy as well.
