Hi Cali,

Thanks for the reply.

I do indeed keep a file of a timeline of symptoms, test results, doctors' comments etc. It's on my work computer but I have a recent printout here.

Apparently cognitive problems (including short term memory loss and difficulty multi-tasking) begin in the first week of July, but I think have been getting worse since. I'm "freezing" in the middle of sentences quite a lot, kind of drifting off. Also just recently I'm finding I get stressed almost to the point of having an anxiety attack if I have too much input, or too many choices around me; like I used to be great at both multi-tasking and prioritising, but now if I have two files needing "URGENT!!" attention, I end up staring at both of them, doing nothing, and thinking, "Oh god, there is no way I can get any of this done!" in a massive panic.

I started Neurontin around the 22nd of July, and I think the cognitive problems right now are a fairly straightforward progression over the last 5 weeks or so, rather than newthings being brought on . . . though of course if that's a known side effect, it could certainly have contributed.

Certainly a vague idea in my head is that if Neurontin acts by dampening some brain impulses, then maybe it's dampening a bit too much.

I'm on small "as needed" amounts of Tramadol too, in the past that has made me very sleepy and lowered my blood pressure (which is on the low end of the scale to start with, 90/60) but I don't think it's caused me brain fog.
