I find it really odd when people mistrust information that originates from a commercial source, or dislike places that make money out of illness.

Police officers make money out of rape and murder. Firemen make a living out of arson. Charity organisations receive an income because of starvation.

Almost the entire medical establishment and medical profession makes money out of illness - all the doctors, all the nurses, specialists, researchers, administrators, PD organisations, academics. All authors of medical books have made money out of it. Medicine is a very expensive and time consuming business. Most people can not get heavily involved in it unless somebody is paying them to do that rather than something else.

Most information originates from sources that are commercial or for which people have received payment. The pharmaceutical companies, clinics, and research centres who provide so much information all make money out of illness, but they can also often be a good source of information as well. If somebody objected to every potentially commercial souce of information they would know nothing about medicine at all.

I think it is better to make use of all information, regardless of where it comes from, or how much money they have made out of it.
