I don't know if mine would constitute a story but when my mom would lay into us for fighting I always said "yeahbut Billy started it or did it" (in a whiny voice of course!). My mom would counter that would "yeahbut you got caught (*smack!*)

I really got my booty broke when my little brother Danny started my bedroom on fire. No yeahbut's in the world saved me while he sat back staring as I took the blame. He admitted to it about a year ago and he's in his late 30's! Turd.
