Lightbulb Healing Oil of the Week: Myrtle

Healing Oil of the Week: Myrtle

Spicy, sweet-smelling myrtle oil was used in biblical purification ceremonies, but you can still find a variety of uses for it today. Its intense scent makes it ideal for treating respiratory problems including asthma, bronchitis, coughs, and the flu, while its cleansing and antibacterial properties have made it an important ingredient in solutions that battle skin conditions like acne and psoriasis. It's even been used to balance hormones. For a wonderful treat, put five to ten drops of myrtle oil in a warm bath.

if you wish to plant a true myrtle in your yard,
the Latin Name is -myrtus communis

Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in your life you will have been all of these.
