You wouldn't have been. My daughter called me just before 0600 and said that one of our neighbor's houses was on fire. You could hear fire engines and firefighters all over the place.

My husband called me about 30 minutes later (just as I was getting back to sleep) and gave me more information. I'm up now......<yawn>...... went to bed after 0100 this a.m.

Fire started in a house that's been empty since before we bought ours in that city--over 25 years. They're rows in that line of houses (not ours--we own both sides of a twin) and the fire spread to the house next door, to another neighbor who doesn't have insurance (what WAS she thinking--she already HAD one house fire and lost her husband in it), and smoke was in a third neighbor's house.

At least no one was hurt this time.

Think it might be nap time today!
