We had Earthlink for about 2 yrs. Lately is has been horrible. It dropped us, stalled, was just terrible. So we discontinued it and got DSL.
Our city had a free dial-up linked to our library, and it died this summer.
We received a letter saying the equipment being used was antequated, and
wireless is being substituted before 2007. They turned off the dial-up in August.
It just might be that ANY dialup is not going to be very reliable anymore. That is the impression I got concerning us.
