We tend to not realize that it says Public Profile.

BTW, you can set your options to not allow Visitor Messages. You can also delete them after you read them. |

Members are are responsible for managing their profile visitor messages.
Deleting after you read is an easy way or after a page is full.
{many pages of messages is very time consuming to delete
}
Users can choose to turn off visitor messages if they don't want them:
