I'd vote for you Doody! I have decided not to vote this year (a tough decision but necessary for me).

I can't stand this election anymore. I don't think the President is useful for anything, and has little power. It is all lies, charisma, and posturing. The political machinery runs this country. We need to get rid of the electoral college and base elections on popular vote. Until that is done I won't vote anymore, and will probably be dead if it ever is fixed.
The last two elections have convinced me that our system is not honest, votes are not honestly counted, and the President is nothing but a glorified PR person.
There were a few moments during the primaries that I thought were exciting, but they are gone, alas.

People react to elections as if they were athletic competitions. My team vs. your team....rah rah rah.
In the end, I don't think it matters anymore. We haven't had a good leader during my lifetime IMO.

My husband is also undecided, but thinks I will have second thoughts and show up at the polls. We used to joke that whoever we voted for lost... I could invoke that this election and tank one of them majorly! LOL

I just opened today's paper... It has a remarkable TWO front pages! A six page front page dealing with Mayor Kilpatrick and his allegedly illegal dealings--- our Governor Granholm is trying to remove him from office. This is beyond the pale...once these politicians get into office they may try to do whatever they want--even break the law with impunity. This is complex and not the right spot to cover it, but I use it as an example of how far we have come from the original executive office plan our forefathers designed! The past 8 yrs in this country have been horrific. And I don't see much hope for change, sadly.
Edit to say... the paper I saw this morning at 4am was YESTERDAY's.
Today the "Mayor" is resigned....FINALLY. It was the biggest horrible mess I have ever seen in
my life! And the efforts to expose it HUGE. We had another 2 versions Headline again. Looks like he got prison for 4 months as well!

Also...on CNN was a worker for Hiliary being interviewed. She in the end said she may perhaps NOT vote for Prez this year either. (I am NOT the only one thinking this?)
