I was getting ready for work, it was almost time to leave when the phone rang.
Our son had joined the Air Force recently and he was just finishing basic training in Texas. He was on the phone, and told me about the attack. I started to panic, because not being all that familiar with how things work in the military, I started thinking they'd immediately put him into a battle zone. I started grieving for the lives lost, I was in a state of shock. I went to work and worried so much about our son, thinking that the air force base could be attacked soon.
It was such a horrific time for me and so many others, especially those who lost loved ones and lived close by to the areas that were attacked.
We're flying our flag tomorrow, and tonight I'll say a special prayer for all those affected by the attack.
