Yep, Rump, the googlebot is a pretty tough cookie. You and your server can be identified by your IP address, so if they're looking for it, they can catch a fresh registration from a banned member.

Personally, with all we've learned about this, I would not want my name associated with theirs in any way. Membership with such a slipshod outfit can't help anyone's credibility.

I agree that abuse of this perceived power is rampant with that group and it serves only to hurt the reputations of its sponsors. The strongest effort would be in notifying those sponsors of the second-rate operations that seem to be their only hallmark.
