I take Amitriptyline. My neuro recently increased the amount from 10mg to 20mg. I had been light headed before the increase. Now, it's almost constant when I stand up (I have to stand up slowly to avoid it).
Could it be that Amitriptyline is causing this? I recently introduced Clonazepam into the mix, but the light headedness was there before that.
Edit: Actually, dizziness and light headedness are listed as side effects. Maybe I'll try reducing dose from 20mg to 10mg again, since it's the Clonazepam that is really the key in controlling the burning mouth syndrome (why I take both) http://depression.emedtv.com/amitrip...e-effects.html |
That explains why I've been feeling lightheaded since I started to take amitriptyline for insomnia. I think I'll take a long walk tonight instead of a pill to make myself sleepy. (I dont take a full dose of the amitrityline tho...I break the pill in half, and break the half in half so I only take 1/4 of an actual pill)
