Reason I asked was, I had a suspicion you were in Canada somewhere, because sadly, this is all too common from Canadians . It's similar to what I experienced.

Basically my first neuro brushed me off and refused an MRI. It was finally my ENT (ear nose throat) doc who sent me for the MRI, which lead to a competent neurologist, and diagnosis.

Unfortunately for us Canadians, since MRI is covered by Medicare, it's almost like doctors and neurologists try to avoid this crucial test unless they're absolutely convinced. The wait for MRI can be quite lengthy as well (I was told up to 3 months).

Bottom line. You NEED the MRI done. You need to fight for one, and be proactive in this. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this experience .
