Hello Denise and Welcome to Neurotalk - you will meet many great and supportive people here!!

I am so very sorry to hear that you also suffer from RSD I suffer from RSD in my left leg and right arm. I developed RSD when I was just 12 years old (I am now 13) after I fell down some steps in March 2007 and sprained my left ankle - I was diagnosed with RSD 4 months later.

About 2 months after I was diagnosed with RSD, my PM Doctor prescribed me Amitriptyline to try and help me sleep - it didn't help me and unfortunately I suffered from a side effect of blurred vision. I tried to get myself out of the bath tub but fell and knocked my right arm. My arm immediately began to swell, chance colour and become really painful and I recieved the news I was dreading ..... The RSD had spread to my right arm.

If I can help you in anyway, please just ask - I am more than happy to help you if I can. I know how hard it is living with RSD.

Take care of yourself and I am sending you many pain-free

Talk to you soon hopefully!

Alison
