Heart healing oil -the rose of sharon

Healing Oil of the Week: Rose of Sharon

The Rose of Sharon, mentioned in Isaiah (35:1) and in the Song of Solomon (2:1) was probably the Crimson Spot Rockrose, or Cistus ladanifer, which still blossoms on Mount Carmel today. Bearing delicate white flowers that have a bright red spot at the heart of each petal, the plants grow well in mountainous and warm climates. You don't have to cultivate them in your garden, however, to reap the healthful benefits of this sacred plant. Throughout history, its essential oil has been used as a perfume and to elevate mood. Today, you'll find Rose of Sharon oil in antiseptics, immune system enhancers, and relaxation aids.

It's in the Air
If you want the warm, almost honey-like scent of Rose of Sharon wafting throughout your home, try an essential oil diffuser. There are all kinds — from simple clay pots to electric fans that can diffuse scents into large areas. Many are inexpensive and can make it easy to enjoy essential oils every day by Jordan Rubin

Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in your life you will have been all of these.
