Yes, it can be so hard to get the motivation to get through life with chronic pain. I think the best way I have found is to think of one thing each day that is a goal. If I try to think of getting through a whole week, or month or life, it is overwhelming. But to think of just one day at a time seems managable. And then I make a point to accomplish something each day. Like learning a new chord on the guitar, or even to finish a book, try a new recepie, etc. That way, I never go to bed feeling It was a worthless day. Sometimes the goal may just be to talk to someone I haven't spoken with in a while, bu there is always a purpose to everyday.
A solid group of supporters always helps too!!
