you have to go to an eye doctor ASAP...
What you describe is a scotoma. This may be temporary,
and connected to migraine. (it is should go away within a day).
If this is in your central field of vision, day vision, it can mean a blood clot. (or something worse)
I had a blood clot in my left eye, years ago, which was very serious. It did resolve within 6mos, and was possibly connected to a hypertensive attack. If you have undiagnosed hypertension or poorly controlled hypertension, you can lose vision.
Demyelination typically affects both eyes. When one eye is only affected you really need to a see a doctor ASAP.
When any eye symptom like this arises, you need to see a physician and not try to self medicate or self diagnose.
I am sure they can work out payment schedules for you.
