Coffeebean, I have heard it works really good for the people it works for but I would not be in a hospital setting.I would go off all my meds cold turkey on my own at home for 3 days then start this one. That just soundsstupid & dangerous to me. I take similar medication to your sn in-law. I have pain patch, dilaudid, a sleeping pill, topomax, and 2 different ulcer medications. Plus some off & On medications. It just doesnt make any sense to me & I knew it didnt seem right. If your son in-law spent two weeks in the hospital how can my doctor expect me to do this at home alone. There is no doubt that I will go into DT's after all of these years on all of this medication. Thank you for the help.I will talk to my other doctor but I think your post helped me make up my mind. There is no way I am doing this. And I am giving control over my meds back to my regualr doctor not my pm. He can just deal with my SCS. I am done!
big hugs for everyones help & support,
Denny
