I have not experienced the swelling that you mentioned but just recently another member, Fern, posted a thread on lympedema (here:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread54603.html) And I can't help but wonder if that may be what's causing your swelling as TOS can cause it. The Online Medical Dictionary defines it as such:
