Denny you are absolutely right! I went through detox on my own from 100mg Duragesic Fentayl (every two days) plus 100mg ms contin X 3 daily plus breakthrough Dilaudid 4mg as need. I think we were on pretty much the same stuff. I thought I was going to DIE! The doctors told me that I would not die from withdrawals, but I truly was surprised I survived.
I had tremors, and just basically felt like I would not live through this!
I agree you need a well layed out plan. Can you talk Doctor into making a different plan?
I used HBOT to help with my withdrawals and clonidine. Now I just do my HBO dives at home. I need to dive right now, because last night I didn't think I could handle another ounce of pain.
Advocate for yourself with the doctors. See if there is anyway that they will come around to your way of thinking. Let us know what happens. I wish you the best.
