As someone who 'quit' multiple times, once for 5 years sigh, it was my experience that in the year after quitting I got a lot of "colds" which I never got when I was a smoker...WTH? I returned to normal and now only get maybe 1 or two a year.
I also got canker sores as a kid. I watch how much OJ I drink and cinnimon gum I chew because for some reason they seemed to instigate them. Its been years since I have had more than just a tiny one but I used to put some MOM on a q-tip and that seemed to soothe them a bit.
Hang in there, don't get sucked into thinking all these things make smoking worth it, you are doing great!!!
