Default Does colds and flu affect your PN ?

Just over two years ago now I started suffering with numb toes and feet. At the same time my GP found my liver function was bad and diagnosed PN caused by vitamin deficiency. I was drinking about double the recommended limits at the time. I stopped drinking completely for several months, liver function improved and the PN symptoms went away.

Since then they come back for days or weeks at a time whenever I have a cold or virus. Stress seems to make them worse too.

For the last few weeks I've had a cold type virus and the symptoms have been much worse than before with numbness and tingling from toes up to the knees and for the first time burning sensations that are really painfull in my feet and ankles.

Is it common for colds and flu to cause bouts of PN ?

Also does this sound like some sort of progression of the condition ?

Thanks in adance for any comments.
