If this problem is severe and interferring with your life (and it does sound like it is with what you said about your job) I would talk with your doctor about whether or not you would be a candidate to take a small amount of a second medication to boost your memory. Two that come to mind would be Ritalin or Aricept. Bipolar patients often can not take Ritalin, but Aricept would be a good possibility.

In addition, make sure you are getting your vitamins. The B vitamins and Fish Oil are two supplements said to help with memory. If you are not taking any vitamins at all, you might want to consider taking a multi vitamin/mineral supplement, a B50 tablet, extra B12 and extra Fish Oil.

Be sure to get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water, get in a little exercise, use a planner to help keep track of things, etc.

Also, check out these foods:

IMHO:
You have every right to be upset that you were not told about these side effects. You have every right to do what you can to feel better and get your memory in a better place. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor for his or her help and don't hesitate to do what you can on your own to feel better.

Wishing you well.
