I think it's hard to grow out a perm gracefully, but it can be easier with a body wave I think, then a real tight curl. Mom will do it for me for my 40th birthday, that will make it special. Nice gift. Today was interesting, I got Jackie to wipe his own butt today, no mess to clean off it, did it while he was clean so he could get used to doing it, because he's 12 now and more then able to do it physically, it's time to grow up to that small degree and I am so proud I got him to do it!

We had a neighbor's dog here today, out back playing with Jackie for hours, it was nice, once Jackie got used to it, and they played fetch for the longest time. It's a dog we'd seen before who'd proven itself as a nice animal, I mean I got numbers off the tag but not a phone number to the owners which is unfortunate because they should have that info on there I think. It was fun to see Jackie so happy so I think we're going to look into getting a service dog, a skilled companion dog for him.

I know it takes months and months, but it only starts the clock ticking if you make the committment to make it happen and I think TODAY showed us he's matured more and could benefit immensely from dog ownership at this point. So Jack and I talked about it and we asked Jackie about it and came to conclude we're ready to try it, I think Mr. T prepared us for it, and luckily Jackie is kinda laying off him, he's not swiping him off his dock too much lately, we'll see how it lasts.
