Hi Millerproff,

When I had to have a filling replaced a couple of years ago it took me a long time to recover and for the pain to subside, I recall it took about 2 to 3 weeks for my nerves to calm down. Fortunately I haven't had to get anything major done yet. My dentist has agreed that we will only do work on my teeth when it is absolutely necessary. We keep my appointments as short as possible. I have to have my hygienic cleaning appointments done in sections so we alternate between the upper and lower teeth every other appointment. I always schedule them after my lidocaine treatments when I'm in top shape.

Good luck and take it slow.
