That is a great letter, I do hope they consider the information given.

But I'll still suggest that some people just don't know ,or can't, or won't put out the effort to learn or even be supportive..
sad but true...

I had one set of grandparents that were so awesome, always...

The other widowed grandmother was pretty self centered and very old fashioned acting -
as a child it was always come pay your respects, ask about her and listen to her go on and on about being old and can't wait until the lord takes her...
she lived to a ripe old age but even in her 50s she was talking that way..
she never really talked with us kids that I can recall.. it was kind of the old thing of " children should be seen and not heard"..

anyway the reason I mentioned that is some folks just aren't made to deal with things and at least you have your mom & her parents on your side..
So try to not let it make you all stressed and upset - someday they may come around...
