hi there

is it a regular charlie horse type of cramp, or more of a spasticity type of thing ? I get regular cramps - but I also have spasticity which in a way is like a cramp but is actually caused by the brain and needs to be treated differently.

If they are regular sort of cramps, I would just increase calcium and magnesium, but if it is more of a cramp that doesn't necessarily hurt like mad but just won't go away then you probably should have an emg done to look and see whether those muscles are overactive. I get a weird sort of cramp that is more like the feeling you get when you bang your funny bone, but I get it in places like my shin and the top of my foot when I am driving. I really think I am going to have to swap to hand controls sometime soon. I also get the same feeling about an inch above my wrist on the underside of my hand, which makes no sense at all to me.

My hands are curled into a ball which is very annoying, I can stretch my fingers out to do something, but as soon as I relax they roll back into a ball. It is very annoying, I get really sick of my finger nails pressing into the palms of my hands. There are splints available that help with curled fingers to prevent contractures developing

cheers
