Jane, my doc gave me hydromorphone to take at home for the pain following the injections. It helps alot and is an every 4 hours thing. Also, I lie with my head on an icepack after I get home and that helps the tenderness in my head. I have injections every week.
Sorry you are not feeling well. Just know you're not alone-I can totally relate.
