raises blood sugar in many patients. This is a form of diabetes, called Type II. Patients with diabetes often have immune problems which lead to more infections.

The enlarged lymph nodes may be a sign of that.
They can also occur with lymphoma--and if this is the case they are typically painless. Infected ones usually hurt.

They can be enlarged from infections with Epstein Barr virus (mono), or any STD infection. They will enlarge with herpes as well.

It should be checked by a doctor, and the appropriate tests run.
Blood sugars should be monitored as well.
