Hello and Welcome to Neurotalk Pam!! I hope you find the answers to some of the questions you have here ... we have a great bunch of members who I am sure will be happy to help you in anyway they can!!

I'm sorry to hear that you suffer from RSD and that you are in so much pain at the moment . I have RSD in my left leg and right arm, I developed it when I was 12 years old - I am now 13, if I can help you, please just let me know, I know how scary it can be dealing with this horrible illness.

I also have some dental pain from time to time, especially when I am in a bad flare or when the weather is cold. I have just had an appointment at my Dentist and I have to have a Root Canal in 3 weeks time, which I am not looking forward to!! My Dentist said one of my nerves is exposed into the air and is dying so that could be why I am in so much pain. He has given me something to try and kill the nerve and I have to go back for the Root Canal and for quite a big filling. He did say that he would have extracted my tooth but he wants to try and save it if he can. I also have pain in my teeth where they are not chipped which is pretty strange, my PM Doctor said that it could either be from the medications or the RSD. I would suggest that if you haven't been already you go and see your Dentist to see if he/she can find any problems with your teeth or gums. I would also speak to your PM Doctor to see if he can suggest anything that may lower your pain.

I'm sorry that I can't help you all that much ... if you need anything I am here for you.

Take care and again, Welcome to Neurotalk!!

Alison
