Thumbs up We're Ok here! I'm just trying to recoup from all of the weather changes and whatnot

Janet,
We are all Ok here. Thanks for asking. We had lots of warnings...everything from Wind Advisories, to Flood Warnings to Tornado Warnings, and all kinds of stuff in between. We were up in the 60's the day before the storms....but we didn't get out of the 40's yesterday . That is why we had all of that going on down here. Nov and Dec are one of our Tornado Seasons down here. They will *say* not to worry so much about this one, because it is shorter and the tornados tend to be smaller and weaker.....but. But but but but. It ALWAYS seems that this is the season that we have the WORST problems with the suckers! I mean..Ok....so an F-1 or F- 2..or even a F-0 is nothing like a Big Mamma Jamma of a F-4 or 5 (which are the ones that usually come bobbing along in the Spring and early Summer in the Super Cells and what not)...but. When you have even an F-0 going off right over your head in the middle of your town....I want to hear you say THEN that "it isn't that big of a deal" or that "it is *only* a F-0" that killed or hurt how ever many people, while you are looking at the cars that it put inside the building up in the rafters, after peeling the roof off.

Sheesh.

But, I know that you know about these yucky and scary Tornados, from living in Arkansas. Do you all have the Nov/Dec twister season there, too?

Anyways....we didn't have any Tornados that touched down in my part of the state. We were VERY lucky, as they were touching down in MS, and then lifting up and touching back down only a couple of counties to the east of me. What we DID deal with here was some pretty strong Straight Line Winds. We had some trees down, and some power outages (ground was/is saturated...some places here got 4+ inches of rain yesterday! I kid you not!!). That always happens when the ground is so wet and those winds come through....trees and power lines come tumbling down all over the place. I was lucky in that regard too; I didn't loose power! That is a Small Wonder in and of it's self, since I most always loose power if the wind blows crosswise here. ROFL. I DID hear a HUGE big *BOOM*! that didn't sound at all healthy . And lots and lots of sirens. Not just of the weather variety, either...but of the rescue, fire truck, ambulance, cop car and whatever else kind.

I was worried to death about Meghan, because the campus her classes are on just so happens to be in our town's version of "tornado alley". But...it was all good, and she was safe, and made it through her classes and back home again all in one piece. Jay did too. So, everything was Ok!

Again, thank you for thinking of us, and asking about us. I am sorry that I didn't get on here yesterday, because I would have answered you then. But, when the weather gets like it was/is, and the stupid barometric pressure is going all whacko jumping up and down and all around the place, and the temps are making drastic changes, and it is humidier than all get out...AND you add all of that all together, well...I do good to just be able to breathe and move around here to get done what absolutely HAS to be done because I hurt so friggin' bad . But, that is what comes from living in the land of ever changing pressure systems, tornados, humidity and other whacko weather. LOL. So...Here I am today, moving around like someone's 80+ year old granny.....(and sounding like it too, with all the groaning and moaning I do...Sheesh)...but at least I am moving. That is something! (Times like this, I SOOO miss my heating pad.... )

Anyway..I am blabbering again. Sorry. Just wanted to let you know that we are all Ok, and to thank you for asking. We were very, very lucky this time. I hope that our luck holds out, as this is usually the time of year that hits my town the worst, tornado wise.

Hope you are doing Ok? No weirdo weather for you there is Arkansas? Just COLD??? Yuck...I HATE Winter! Ready for Summer yet? ROFL..I am!!

((hugs))
Jose
