Post this drug is an active metabolite of Arava.

Arava just was too toxic for most RA patients, and is not
frequently used. There was some controversy about getting it
approved at the FDA. (some doctors were against it)

I don't know anything about teriflunomide, or whether it is less toxic or not. I did see some articles about it when I Googled.
