Bless your heart ((Beachlover)). I have 2 ferals and Chewie settled in quite nicely. Annie did as well but she is definitely the alpha of the group. She takes no crap from anybody but knows how to dish it out. .
Do you know if there is a TNR program available in your area? Maybe they could take care of your feral community. I'm not sure. My daughter 'sees' a feral community going on where she lives. But a woman down the street from her started feeding them regularly and they now live mostly on her porch. When my daughter asked about having them trapped and neutered, she was told that if there are people caring for them, then the people are partially responsible for paying for the neuter/spay. .
I don't know if that's common everywhere or not.
