It was Mondays in So. Maine and there was an excellent recycling program there. I've been in the VI for the past three years and there is nearly no recycling here. It's insane. I want to scream IT"S AN ISLAND.

I joined the two environmental organizations that are trying to get something going, but tings de move slo mon. Where I work we recycle aluminum, newspaper for animal bedding, we shread and compost landscape debris, and get all the electronics and white goods delt with. Unlike the states it takes a lot of time and effort.

My trash, I bring to the bin (dumpster) at the fire station in Cotton Valley which is kind of cool because people set their good stuff on the side and people take what they want. We call it the Cotton Valley Mall. We have a Freecycle group that helps to.
