Being a dog person, becoming a cat slave has been a real adjustment. I do not understand Pud at all. I accept that I am not supposed to as that seems to be part of the dynamic.
He would be long gone if he had not been neutered and I didn't keep a trusty bottle of Rescue on hand for those unbearable psycho days. Yesterday was one of them. When I got up, he was running about the apartment all hump backed, fuzzed up, squawling. He was actually running on extended claws. When I would approach him, he would hiss at me but not attack. I make certain that his water bowl is empty when I get up and he is thirsty so I can put Rescue in a quarter cup of water and he will drink it down if needed. He drank it down and was perfectly calm ten minutes later. He spent most of the day snoozing on the top of the recliner, above my head...........occassionally batting at my hair. Today, he was almost affectionate...........almost. Dang cat.
Sweet dreams, all.
