Well since posting the original post i have done a lot of reading about LDL cholestrol & there is strong evidence that LDL cholestrol is needed to repair damage, it seems that inflamation build up is the real cause of blocked arteries which leeds to heart attack and stroke.
So my question is, what does one do to address the inflamation issue ?
I do take Vitamin C, E & R- lipoic acid for their antioxident properties & why take Niacin or other non statins to lower LDL cholestrol.

thanks
Brian
