Mrs. D...
Sometimes when I take the R Lipoic, I get blurry vision. Do you know what this might mean? I stopped taking it because of this. Very curious about this! I was happy to read at LEF that R Lipoic might help with headaches/ migraines but am frustrated about the vision issues. BTW, I have a problem with dry eyes...which are bothering me right this second (so if you see typos...this explains it).

I can't take much Green Tea due to the headaches. I know that I am limited with that or I will get a h/a. Yerba Mate...same thing.

Mistiis... Chromium Picolinate...that is a good one for me and maybe you should try it or ask your doctor about it. Recently, my doc told me to try Chromium Polynicotinate 200 mcg (but I can go up to 400 mcg). Said this might help w/ energy and weight loss. I started this and it did seem to help a little.

Found this on LEF
Some facts about chromium:
1. Regulates blood sugar
2. Chromium increases insulin binding to cells
3. Increases insulin sensitivity
4. Corticosteroid treatment causes depletion of chromium
5. Most people have a diet that is low in chromium
6. Treatment of chronic disease requires larger doses of chromium than RDA
7. Chromium is necessary to carbohydrate metabolism
8. Chromium is necessary to lipid metabolism
9. Chromium may be an effective antidepressant in mild depression
10. Intake of highly refined cereals can result in chromium deficiency
11. Chromium deficiency has been linked to insulin resistance in “Syndrome X”
12. Diets high in sugar, fat and alcohol will be low in chromium
13. Athletes may have depleted chromium stores due to exercise
14. Chromium reduces insulin liver
15. Sugar depletes chromium
16. Cholesterol levels increase when chromium supplementation is discontinued
17. Chromium may be a safe substitute for anabolic steroids

This link seems to indicate that one (poly) is better than the other:

Thanks.
