I had the same problems today and now it is night again. My husband thought it was all in my head. He even spent over 3 1/2 hours getting me meds today.

Suddenly it hit me. I was being treated for a sore throat with zpack - tomorrow is the last day. The back of my mouth was sore. Well, after surgery my lips were all torn up, and today the uvula was swollen with a sore on it and there are other sores in my mouth now. I think that they did something to my throat when they intubated me, because about the only way I can breathe is with my mouth open now.

So maybe I'm not crazy quite yet.

The med, demerol, made me really spacey and I was having trouble breathing, so I don't want to take it even though my husband sacrificed a lot to get it.

I finally let out some of my anger tonight, too. You see, the folks were supposed to work with me yesterday. They acted like they did, but the only one who tried was the one nurse. The others out and out lied to me. The operating room was worse than a nightmare. I actually trusted them.

I am having a hard time breathing, so will sign off for now.
