We had a gold and white cat that talked his head off. If you upset him, he would yell at you! Our dau read something about this type of cat being very "vocal." Ironically, she just adopted a stray kitten with the same coloring who is also a "talker."
I think it is likely real, but perhaps it could be slightly enhanced.
It sure is cute!
