Can you explain my MRI?????????????
Radicular symptoms. Severe DJD.
Lumbar vertebral alignment remains anatomic. Labeling will be L1-L6, the sixth segment is partially transitional in nature.
Severe discogenic narrowing/degeneration is localized to the L5-6 level. Diffuse circumferential annular disc bulge is also present at this level, w/o focal disc protrusion demonstrated. Severe right neural foraminal stenosis is demonstrated secondary to hypertropic spurring, annular disc bulge, and facet arthropathy. Please correlate to potential right L-5 radiculopathy. Only minor stenois is seen to invlolve the contralateral left neural foramen. No central spinal canal stenosis is identified at this level.
I had a percantaneous discetomy in 1989 at L-5.
I had a 2 level ACDF of the c-spine in 2002, C5 & C6 and C6 & C7, with plate and screws.
My PCP ordered an X-ray, and referred me to a PM Dr., then ordered a MRI, but is still on vacation, I see the PM Dr this week.
Any light anyone can shed on this report would be greatly appreciated.
My pain is severe.
Thanks, Nikko
