Hubble Telescope
is back in service and sending its cool pics back to us...
Check it out if they're available on line.
We'll set a date for the Hubble rehab shuttle mission (STS-125) um... Well, I know the date. I just don't remember it right now... I blame MS. Or beer...
STS-126 to the space station is still slated for 11/14 liftoff but this may move up. This I WILL know tomorrow cuz I gotta go to the FRR (Flight Readiness Review). Assuming I remember, I'l let y'all know... This is important - we wanna get the astronauts back before thanksgiving and right now a 11/14 launch means they come back 11/28. We want to move it up 3 days.
There's another concern - it's called the "beta angle". We're good up to about the 28th - angle of the sun supplying enough juice to the solar panels to support 10 people in the ISS (envision this - 10 people flush the toilet a whole bunch more than 3 people do...). After the 28th - well, we're stuck with a lousy sun angle on the solar panels until the end of January.
And you probably thought all this stuff had alot to do with Zen...
