Wow!!! All these happy wishes.

How nice all of you have been to me. Thanks soooo much.

Alan and I just came back from our local polls.

We went up to the first table and they looked us up in their registry and told us to go to Section 80. Section 80 didn't have us in their book. Section 80 told us to go to Section 68. Section 68 didn't have us in their book either. Told us to go to Section 57.

We go to Section 57 and the person there didn't speak English that well. She looked at me, looked in the book and called me Alan. I said: "do I look like Alan?"

Then I pointed to my name in the book. If I didn't do that she wouldn't have found me.

So we voted and shook everyone's hands.

Not too many people showed up when we did. Some have been voting since 6 a.m. Imagine showing up at 6 a.m.. that's amazing.

So tonight we shall make history.

Lots of November birthdays on the block where we live.

the lady across the street turned 100 last week. She still takes her pushcart and goes on the bus.

My landlord turns 72 on Thursday. I kissed her and she kissed me.

I also introduced her to my beautician, who for 10 bucks made her look like a million bucks.

One good thing about being in the 60's is that you get Senior Citizen discounts.
