Medications can cause a condition called pseudo-lupus.
I had that with my pregnancy. I had to take a blood pressure
tablet called hydralazine. After delivery both of my knees swelled up and I could barely walk --it was due to the drug.

Here is a good article on it:

Since MG is also autoimmune, there may be a connection.
Some people with gluten intolerance develop autoimmune
disease. This may resolve on a gluten free diet. You can have testing done. The Sticky in our Gluten forum has links to The Gluten File which explain the blood tests. You should continue eating gluten (wheat/rye/barley) until after the tests to get an accurate reading. Don't assume anything when stuff like this happens...assumptions are often wrong.
