I love the cactus and they were growing on lots we owned before we built in this area so we (legally) moved them.
We are a high desert climate so can grow most anything but citrus. Roses really do well here and bloom most of the year.
I have jasmine and a few other things but wanted to keep it low maintenance as we love road trips. Also, at the time I was on a bunch of meds and using a walker.
