My chicken and dumplings is kinda like cheating, LOL.
I slowcook
1 lb chicken
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom
1 large can chicken broth
1 onion chopped.
I change the spices, but generally seasoned salt, cracked pepper, and parsley.
The dumplings are actually those pillsbury biscuits you can buy at the dairy section of the grochery store. I found the buttermilk ones to be the best. I just pull little bits of dough and put into the pot. 1/2 hour before serving if on high, 1 1/2 hour if on low.
Anyhoo, on a more somber note: My local art store is closing!!!
There's a couple of other places nearby that I can get stuff from, and there's always online. But the people who worked there were great! Gonna miss that place.
