Lightbulb yes, diet can be a factor.

Some of us have found sugar, or fructose can be a trigger.

I have found for myself that nightshade veggies (mostly potato) but also some tomato products can trigger burning.

Also Gluten may be a culprit.

The only way to find a dietary trigger is to do an elimination diet. Get rid of completely what you suspect one by one and then see if you feel better. After about 3 weeks, reintroduce it and see if the pain/burning returns.

Some supplements help too. You are doing B12, but there are others. Benfotiamine for example-- a special form of thiamine B1 may help. Regular inexpensive thiamine is available everywhere, and 300mg a day in divided doses would be a way to check that out. If you see some relief, then try the benfotiamine (available on the net at www.iherb.com )
Those are just examples.

There are others for other people. We all differ in our metabolisms etc.
